Charles N’Zogbia stays cool at Villa

Aston Villa winger Charles N’Zogbia today revealed he does not feel the pressure that comes with being one of the club’s most expensive signings.

Manager Alex McLeish splashed a large portion of his summer transfer budget on the 25-year-old French winger, who he snapped up from Wigan for £10million.

N’Zogbia has yet to hit top form but insists it’s not because he feels the weight of the transfer fee upon his shoulders.

He said: “I don’t think about how much they paid for me. I don’t really worry about that and I just play my football and try to play my best.

“It doesn’t matter how much money people pay for me, I just want to be on top of my game.

“I’m focused on football. I’m focused on trying to win for the football club, not worried about myself.

“I do not think about these things and just concentrate on doing my best.”
