McLeish eyeing Dutch winger Verhoek for Aston Villa

Aston Villa were today linked with Dutch wide man Wesley Verhoek as Alex McLeish began pondering the problem of replacing Ashley Young.
McLeish collected around £17m from Manchester United for Young this week and is engaged in a major battle to keep Liverpool from taking another of his wide men in Stewart Downing.
McLeish has a high regard for the potential of Marc Albrighton but knows he will need to strengthen in the wide areas – and he is keen on ADO Den Haag star Verhoek.
