Kyle Walker happy to stay at Villa

Loan star Kyle Walker has refused to rule out a summer move to Villa after relishing the chance to prove he is cut out to play in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old right-back will return to parent club Tottenham after a successful six-month spell at Villa Park but admits his future is out of his hands.
He said: “That’s really not up to me. That’s really for the two clubs to decide. I’m just happy playing football.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here. Whatever the two managers decide to do, that’s up to them.
“If the gaffer down there tells me I’ve got to go and play there, he’s my gaffer and I’ve got to go and play there. It’s his word.
“It’s a difficult one. I want to play for Tottenham because I wouldn’t have signed there if I didn’t think I could play there.
“Also I want to play football so – I just don’t know. I’m just going to have to wait until the summer and see what the two managers decide.
“I just want to play football. If I’m playing football, that’s all I’m bothered about. I don’t mind if it’s Villa or Tottenham or whoever else.
“Football’s a mad game, you never know what’s going to happen.”
Walker has undoubtedly enjoyed the chance to showcase his talents at the claret and blues and has quickly settled into life at the club.
He said: “Yes, it’s been great. Everyone’s been welcoming. Birmingham’s a good city and it’s only an hour away from my hometown of Sheffield so it’s good.
“To be fair, this is my first full season as I was saying to some of the lads. I went to Sheffield United and got called back when I was at Tottenham and I only played two games for Tottenham but I did learn a lot down there.
“Playing week in, week out is the only way you can learn and improve, that and training with the kind of players that Villa have got.
“So I’m just grateful to Villa for giving me the opportunity to do it.”

There’s zero chance of Spurs selling Walker. He’s a fantastic attacking full back, he needs to improve on the defensive side of his game but has all the tools to be a regular for Spurs (and England) for many years. Sorry Villa, but it’s goodbye and thanks for the memories!
