We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

Wolves

Wolves are believed to have made an enquiry about the availability of Norwich striker Josh Murphy.

Murphy has scored seven goals in all competitions this season and came off the bench against Wolves at the weekend.

It is understood Norwich want to keep the 21-year-old, and sources say his representatives are in talks with the club over a new contract.

West Brom

West Brom are interested in signing Felipe Caicedo from Espanyol as they look to replace Saido Berahino.

The 28-year-old has been unable to hold down a place in the first team this season, making just 12 appearances.

Albion are also interested in signing Manchester United winger Ashley Young, but their chances of bringing him to the Hawthorns looks bleak due to interest in him from the Chinese Super League.

The 31-year-old has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and hasn't started a league game for over two months with an exit is on the cards.

Aston Villa

West Brom and Aston Villa are both set to miss out on long-term target Cheikh N'Doye.

The French midfielder, who sees his contract at Angers expire at the end of the current season, has been offered a deal to join Greek side PAOK.

PAOK are willing to offer N'Doye a pay increase and it's understood that he has no interest in signing a new contract at Angers

Walsall

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium.
