Transfer Rumours - Jan 11

Expressandstar.com brings you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.

West Ham United v Manchester City - Barclays Premier League - Upton Park
Could Fabian Delph be heading to Albion?

We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

Wolves

Shamrock Rovers are the favourites to land former Wolves striker Robbie Keane.

The Irish club have emerged as contenders to tempt the ex-Spurs and Liverpool striker back to his homeland after he departed LA Galaxy recently.

Keane has just completed a five year spell with the Galaxy and bagged 83 goals in 125 Major League Soccer appearances during his time in California.

Blackburn Rovers are demanding £2.5m from any team that want to sign Ben Marshall.

The 25-year-old winger’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, which has attracted many teams as they feel they could get a starring player for a bargain fee.

One of these teams is Wolves, Paul Lambert worked with the player while at Blackburn and wants to reunite them at Molineux.

West Brom

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly lining up a January loan move for Manchester City outcast Fabian Delph.

Delph moved to the Etihad Stadium from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015, signing a five-year contract, but the midfielder has been blighted by injuries ever since arriving.

Aston Villa

It is no secret that Aston Villa have been keeping a keen eye on Barnsley midfielder and captain Conor Hourihane.

Hourihane, with his 5 goals and 12 assists in 23 appearances, has been one of the stand-out players in the Championship this season.

Walsall

Walsall are set to sign highly rated, Celtic central defender Eoghan O'Connell on loan.

O'Connell who has spent time on loan with Oldham and Cork City in the last few years, was set to join Kilmarnock on loan but it seems we have won the race to sign him.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 international made seven appearances for Celtic earlier in the season but has not played for two months due to the emergence of their current pairing.

E & S. No such thing as rumour. It is or is not is not the truth.

WolfWarrior

Highly rated? Celtic to Walsall = Errrr NO he's not then!

(WOLVES): Surely we don't need more defenders surely we would be better with a Striker (off-load Gladon if he's not going to play) Other than that what do we need Williamson is back Zyro and Graham hopefully will be back... Where do we need?

FRANKO

Why Wolves haven't made an approach for Barnsleys Hourihane and Winnall who are both out of Contract this summer, I don't know. They seem to be a perfect fit for Wolves weaknesses(without going over the top) particularly the striker Winnall who of course is a product of the Wolves academy.

BURNLEY BAGGIE

If Delph signs he wont be match fit so Pulis wont play him until the end of March.

Also what is going on with Schlup we offered 12 mill and was told he is not for sale, now we can have him for 12 mill Palace are sniffing around him.

Williams pay the money and get this sorted.

What has a player that left wolves 18years ago got to do with wolves transfer news in 2017. For football news express and star really is pathetic, absolutely no knowledge or connection with our local teams. Just make enough stuff up and hope some sticks

TAG1

Crock Delph? Gabbaiadini would he adapt to the English Prem League 6 -1 pace and power but not that prolific in goal scoring terms, is this the Dingle Express I hope so otherwise it's two steps backward.

According to the Express & Star tonight, we used to have a player called Kenny Hibbert and Lee Naylor was a right back.
