The draw for the next round was made this morning after all group stage ties were completed on Wednesday night.

Both Wolves and Walsall were handed home ties as they topped their respective groups.

The Saddlers have already played Oldham this season in League One, drawing 0-0 at Boundary Park.

The games will be played week commencing December 5.

Wolves finished top of Group B with six points. Scott Sellars' youngsters lost their game 2-1 at Chesterfield, with Aaron Collins missing a last-minute penalty after Christian Herc had earlier levelled things up at 1-1.

But they then won a 3-2 thriller at Crewe with Nouha Dicko scoring twice and Bright Enobakhare notching a late winner before Andy Lonergan pulled off a wonder-save in injury time.

And this week Wolves dismantled Accrington Stanley 4-0 to top the group with Herc, Donovan Wilson, Connor Ronan and Enobakhare on the scoresheet at Molineux.

Sellars fielded his youngest side so far with 10 of the 11 players aged 19 or younger.

Wolves of course won an earlier version of the competition - the Sherpa Van Trophy - in 1988 in front of 80,000 at Wembley.

Walsall were one of six teams to finish first in their group with maximum points.

They began Group H with a 5-2 thrashing of Grimsby Town at the Banks's thanks to Amadou Bakayoko's hat-trick and further goals from Kieron Morris and Maziar Kouhyar.

Jon Whitney's team then won 2-1 away at Sheffield United with Bakayoko again on the scoresheet, as well as Scott Laird.

They ended their campaign with an impressive 1-0 win at the King Power against Leicester U21s thanks to Bakayoko's winner.

If Wolves or Walsall win their last 32 tie they will be in the last 16 where there are no regional ties or seedings.

There then follows a quarter final, a semi final and a final at Wembley on April 2. If knockout ties are level after 90 minutes they go straight to penalties.
