Transfer Rumours - August 10
Expressandstar.com bring you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Leeds United and Wolves are battling it out to sign Benfica B left-back Alexis Scholl
While Leeds have desire to bring Scholl in, Wolves seemingly have the better connections to pull off a switch, and showed last season they could use cover at left-back, loaning in Jeremy Helan from Sheffield Wednesday.
Scholl is a player who could use a loan, yet to break into Benfica's first team, and it would not be a surprise to see him at either Championship club.
WEST BROM
Galatasaray's slim chances of signing Oumar Niasse looks to be over as four Premier League clubs have set their sights on the Senegal international.
Reports suggest Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Hull and West Brom are all interested in signing the 26-year-old striker.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa target Abel Hernandez has essentially issued a come and get me plea in an interview with Uruguayan Sports radio station.
The Hull City striker spoke at length about his future and confirmed that he had received interest from Turkey and Italy but he was keen to continue his career in England whether it be at the KC Stadium or elsewhere.
WALSALL
Championship side Brentford have signed former Walsall and Middlesbrough midfielder Emmanuel Ledesma on non-contract terms.
The 28-year-old spent last season with Rotherham, making eight appearances.
Argentine Ledesma had two stints with the Saddlers while Bees boss Dean Smith was in charge at the Banks's Stadium.
