We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves have already been linked to a host of Benfica players and, through sources in Portugal, another name has cropped up.

Through the relationship between new owners Fosun International and super-agent Jorge Mendes, three are already on the way.

The club are hoping to tie up the arrivals of Pele and Helder Costa, plus Atletico Madrid's former Benfica man Silvio, in due course.

Now there's talk about Dutch winger Ola John, who has experience of Championship football through a loan spell at Reading last season.

The 24-year-old is out of favour and would be allowed to leave, so it could be down to Wolves to make a call on if they want him at Molineux.

WEST BROM

Other rumours suggest that West Brom may rekindle their interest in bringing left-back Jose Enrique to the Hawthorns on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old has spent the past year frozen out of the first-team at Liverpool and on the sidelines collecting his £65,000-a-week salary.

Enrique now finds himself a free agent, after his release from Anfield, and the Baggies are still keen to sign a player in his position this summer.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew could yet stay in the Premier League, with top-flight West Ham thought to be preparing a bid for his services.

The 24-year-old was the standout player with seven goals, as Villa were relegated from the Premier League to the Championship, last season.

An £8million offer would allow Villa to recoup the fee paid to French outfit Lorient for Ayew's services last summer, with German outfit Hamburg also keen.

WALSALL

Walsall are not interested in signing Tom Pope after the striker was made available by Bury, either on loan or permanently.

The former Port Vale man had been linked with the Saddlers, after confirming he is keen on a move back to the Midlands.

Boss Jon Whitney insisted the 30-year-old is not on his list of targets, with the player known to be on a high wage at Gigg Lane.
