WOLVES-ASTON VILLA

West Midlands rivals Wolves and Aston Villa could join Championship rivals Leeds United in slugging it out for striker Yacine Bammou.

The Morocco striker is keen to leave his club, Nantes in France, after starting just 17 games last season and his employers may wish to sell.

Toulouse are looking at keeping the 24-year-old in his current country, though, so the interest in England may need to be firmed up quickly.

Wolves are now hunting for players after coming under new ownership, with Chinese conglomerate Fosun International now in charge.

WEST BROM

West Brom might go up against Premier League champions Leicester City for the services of Sunderland defender Lamine Kone this summer.

The Black Cats have the Ivory Coast international under contract until 2012 and won't be easily persuaded to sell him to another top-flight rival.

But the departure of Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce to become England manager may unsettle some players with Kone, 27, the subject of interest.

WALSALL

Walsall might be able to strike off West Ham and Leeds on the list of suitors looking to take teenage left-back Rico Henry away from the Banks's Stadium.

The Premier League Hammers have decided they want someone of top-flight experience, which they will either acquire or look overseas for an equivalent.

That also rules them out of a move for Leeds' Charlie Taylor, with the Whites looking at Henry in case Taylor moved on from Elland Road in the close season.

There are still plenty of clubs tracking £1.5m-rated Henry, though, with Championship new-boys Newcastle United as well as Liverpool and Arsenal watching him.
