The top-seeded Halesowen star and her Japanese partner Yui Kamiji beat second seeds Jiske Griffioen and Aniek van Koot 6-2 6-2 on court 17 today.

It was a case of revenge for Whiley, who had lost to Van Koot in the women's wheelchair tennis singles semi-final earlier in the week.

"We're both in a bit of shock if I'm honest," said Whiley. "We never thought we could win three in a row as Jiske and Aniek are so strong but I really felt like we played the best tennis at a Grand Slam.

"To win at Wimbledon is so special and the crowd were brilliant.

"We just love being on court with each other and love playing with each other."

The 24-year-old has won all four wheelchair doubles Grand Slams, but her only singles title came at the US Open last year.
