The 11-year-old from Walcot found the net 97 times last term for Wolves Under-11s, Shrewsbury Town youth development side and Trinity Church of England Primary School.

Her goalscoring exploits grabbed the attention of a number of clubs, including City where she completed a six-week trial at the club's £200m training base and was offered terms.

However, Millie has decided to stay at Wolves for the forthcoming 2016-17 season. Her father, Stuart said: "It all went really well (at City), Millie was offered a contract there.

"You have to re-trial for the club you are with though every year, so Millie went along to Wolves and said 'dad, I feel like I've come home.'

"She has done it, because she is happy at Wolves. I was surprised she turned down Manchester City but if you're a player that is happy, you are going to perform well."

Before joining Wolves, Millie spent time playing under her father for the New Saints' under-10 girls team. It's her dream to represent Wales in the future.

Stuart added: "I have supported her all the way in taking her to Manchester City for training, but she loves Wolves.

"They make all of the girls feel happy, there's a real family feel around the place and I think that's what has attracted Millie.

"It has turned out well for Millie as she is happy and loves it. As long as she is happy, I'm happy."
