Birmingham to host BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2016
The Sports Personality of the Year awards will return to Birmingham this year, the BBC has announced.

The event will be at the Genting Arena on Sunday, December 18 and will be hosted by Gary Linekar, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan.
Birmingham hosted the ceremony in 2006 and 2007 after it was moved out of London for the first time in its history.
"This has already been an extraordinary year of sport," said director of BBC Sport Barbara Slater.
"With so much more still to come we're in for a very special Sports Personality of the Year."
She added: "Our past visits to Birmingham have been a great success and we've no doubt that will be repeated with this year's show."
