We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves may try to strike a compromise with Middlesbrough to borrow winger Adam Reach for a season with a view to a permanent move.

Reach starred for Preston on loan in the Championship last season and is likely to be available, because of Boro's promotion to the Premier League.

With the highly-rated 23-year-old set to cost a transfer fee around £2million, Wolves would prefer a year-long deal to see if the player impresses.

The Express & Star understands they have already approached Boro to check on his availability and will now play somewhat of a waiting game.

WEST BROM

West Brom striker Saido Berahino could head to the top of Premier League champions Leicester City's transfer targets after they failed to land Troy Deeney.

Watford have rejected a bid in the region of £20m for Deeney, who was the Foxes' No 1 choice but City haven't been deterred that they want another forward.

Leicester are looking to add regardless of whether England international Jamie Vardy stays or goes to Arsenal and are keeping tabs on Berahino, 22, accordingly.

ASTON VILLA

Interest in supposed Aston Villa target Marcus Antonsson is hotting up as the claret and blues unveil new owner Tony Xia and boss Roberto Di Matteo today.

Thomas Andersson-Borstam, sporting director for Kalamr has admitted that the club have received bids for the hitman who has been linked to Villa, Leeds and Cardiff.

The 25-year-old has 22 goals in 36 matches across two seasons in Sweden's top flight. Andersson-Borstam went on to add that "intensive work" is now underway.

He said: "There is continued interest. Yes, we have received an offer for him. From more than one club. We are in talks with a number of clubs, there is intensive work now."

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today - for now.
