We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves new-boy Jeremy Helan could well have a future at Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday despite heading to Molineux this week.

The 23-year-old has joined on loan for the rest of the season, as a long-standing target of boss Kenny Jackett since he came to the club.

The Frenchman still has another year left on his contract at Hillsborough, joining the Owls on a four-year deal in 2013 after leaving Manchester City.

And Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal insists he can still force his way back into the team long-term, despite not picking him for over a month.

Carvalhal said: "Jeremy is a young and talented player, he wants to play and I understand absolutely. He is a player we trust and we want him to play.

"We can recall him with 28 days notice, but I think this move is very good for everyone."

WEST BROM

West Brom striker Rickie Lambert could be offered the chance to help fire Championship league leaders Hull City into the Premier League on a short-term deal.

Lambert has struggled for starts since joining from Liverpool last summer, being named in the starting line-up just five times with 13 substitute appearances.

The 34-year-old is devoid of match sharpness should he be called upon, so Albion boss Tony Pulis may be willing to let him join the Tigers on loan.

ASTON VILLA-WALSALL

All quiet at Villa Park today as their battle against relegation from the Premier League continues, ditto for the League One Saddlers.
