We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Out-on-loan winger Jed Wallace has indicated he wants to fight for a place at Wolves rather than join Millwall on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old has impressed in his seven appearances for the League One Lions, having played five times for Wolves since his summer switch.

But Wallace, a £275,000 capture from Portsmouth, is still hoping to return to his parent club and pin down a regular starting spot at Molineux.

He said: "Wolves was frustrating for me, but I wouldn't say it's a closed door,. There's a big expectation there, as there is here.

"I think I'll still have an effect there down the line, maybe six, 12 or 18 months. I still like to think that."

WEST BROM

West Brom and Southampton are both keeping tabs on Belgium striker Laurent Depoitre, with a £12million price tag slapped on him.

The tall 27-year-old, who plays for Gent in his homeland, has been linked to a host of Premier League clubs over the past year.

His employers are now thought to be ready to name their price for his services, which wouldn't deter his suitors on our shores.

Meanwhile, West Ham winger Michail Antonio has admitted he was close to signing for Albion from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers beat the Baggies to a secure a £7million switch for the Londoner, 25, who was keener to move closer to his roots.

Antonio said: "I thought I might be signing for West Brom, there was loads of links, but nothing with West Ham.

"I didn't really hear anything until I basically signed the contract, it came out of the blue. West Brom put a bid in and I thought I would end up in Birmingham but now I'm in London, back home."

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are monitoring the situation of Reading forward Hal Robson-Kanu as they contemplate life in the Championship after this campaign.

Rock-bottom Villa appear to be resigned to relegation and will clear the decks if that comes to pass, while looking to add for a promotion charge.

Robson-Kanu, 26, would fit the bill as he's already plying his trade in the second-tier with the Royals, where he's out-of-contract in the summer.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium.
