A 'big change' at Aggborough

Colin Gordon reckons supporters will notice a 'big change' when Kidderminster Harriers make their long-awaited return to action tomorrow.

A series of postponements means the visit of Guiseley to Aggborough will be Harriers' first game since the 3-0 defeat at Forest Green Rovers on December 28.

In that time Gordon, the club's chief executive, has taken charge of first-team affairs after the exit of head coach Dave Hockaday, while Harriers have also seen movement in the playing squad. French duo Ousnane Fane and Arthur Gnahoua have been signed together with experienced defender Keith Lowe.

Bottom of the National League Premier and 13 points adrift of safety, Gordon is realistic about the future but expects at the very least improved performances.

"We've had an enforced winter break and in many ways this feels like a fresh start," he said. "There are 20 games to go and we are going to give it our best shot.

"The disappointing thing would be if we are exactly as we were before but I'm hoping for a big change – I think people will see that."

Gordon will sit down with Adam Dawson next week to discuss his future at Aggborough. The 22-year-old joined Harriers in August but was then loaned to Tranmere the following month and has most recently undergone a hernia operation.

"I'm keeping an open mind," said Gordon. "Adam could still be a valuable asset for us."

Hednesford Town manager Frank Sinclair has confirmed he is ready to win the touchline battle against counterpart Dennis Greene at Boston United tomorrow.

Greene's wild enthusiasm from the dugout is a hit with the Pilgrims support but the Pitmen boss claims he can be more than a match.

Former Albion defender Sinclair said: "He's a great guy and character. He gets players to do a job for him and work hard.

"It's my job to go and match that character and win the battle on the sidelines. I will do everything to support my players."

In-form Boston sit third in the National League North, while the Pitmen can climb out of the drop zone with a win.
