The game was backed by a bumper crowd of 369 following the Glassboys' supporters' coach offer to Dales Lane.

The home side took the lead in the sixth minute as former Stourbridge player Luke Benbow sent in a low cross for Malachi Lavelle-Moore to turn in his second goal in three games.

Justin Richards shot wide for the visitors before Jake Heath and Kris Taylor both sent efforts off target for Rushall.

Stourbridge were level on 24 minutes after great work from Karl Hawley allowed Brian Smikle to tap into an empty net from close range.

The hosts almost got back in front as Dan Scarr forced a save from his own goalkeeper Charlie Price and then Michael Townsend's header from the resultant corner was cleared off the line by Smikle.

Stourbridge made it 2-1 on 64 minutes when Richards blasted in from 10 yards despite appeals for offside from the home side.

Leon Broadhead almost put Stourbridge two goals to the good when he volleyed towards goal from 25 yards, but his shot drifted just wide of the post.

Hawley had a header saved by Dean Coleman with minutes to go but Rushall never really threatened the lead for the rest of the game.
