We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves will have to shell out £1million-plus if they wish to land Peterborough United's star striker Conor Washington in the January transfer window.

Washington has been linked with a move to Molineux after a meteoric rise to prominence with Posh, scoring nine goals in his last 10 matches.

The former non-league player, 23, has 24 strikes in 77 games since moving to London Road from Newport County in January 2014 and has a seven-figure price tag.

Meanwhile, Wolves winger Rajiv van La Parra could be a target for a host of Championship clubs when his loan spell at Brighton expires.

The 24-year-old Dutchman is due back at his parent club on January 2 but, with his Wolves future unclear, a number of teams in the division are taking an interest.

WEST BROM

West Brom striker Saido Berahino will become Tottenham Hostpur's No 1 target up front in January, it would appear.

Berahino has fallen out-of-favour at the Hawthorns, with sources also suggesting he has lost the support of his team-mates.

Spurs had two bids for the 22-year-old rejected in August, but it's understood that they are still very much interested in the player.

They've also been linked to Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo, but it's only thought to be a 'Plan B' if they can't get Berahino.

Negredo may stay with his current club, too, as new boss Gary Neville has admitted he rates the former Manchester City front-man.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa could offer former West Brom midfielder Morgan Amalfitano a deal as they search for answers in their battle against relegation.

The controversial Frenchman is still agent after leaving another Premier League side, West Ham in October for 'a breach of club rules.'

The 30-year-old could be heading home to join Lille, but Villa manager and countryman Remi Garde may yet persuade him to stay in England.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
