We have scoured the back pages and the internet to bring you the latest transfer gossip.

We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves will be issued with a £12million 'take it or leave it' offer for striker Benik Afobe in the January transfer window, sources suggest.

The Premier League Canaries made three bids for the 22-year-old in August, the last totalling £10m, and are prepared to improve their terms.

But they will refuse to meet the £15m asking price for a player who has been in and out of Wolves' team of late, as the team struggle in the Championship.

WEST BROM

New Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has apparently requested that the club give him the green light to bring an English striker to Stamford Bridge.

The interim boss was thought to have name-checked West Brom forward Saido Berahino or Leicester City hot-shot Jamie Vardy as targets.

Table-toppers City are adamant Vardy is not for sale, but Chelsea might get a different answer from the Hawthorns in regards to Berahino.

Albion boss Tony Pulis might decide to cash in on the troublesome talent and the player would likely jump at the chance of a move to the champions.

Out-of-favour Callum McManaman also appears to be a wanted man, with Bournemouth and Derby County both interested in the Baggies winger.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa have been linked with a £6.5m move to bring in striker Steven Naismith from top-flight rivals Everton to boost their survival hopes.

Villa are 10 points from safety at the bottom of the table, with their shot-shy attack the joint lowest scorers in the division alongside Stoke on 14.

Manager Remi Garde has identified Naismith as the man he wants to spearhead his side and Everton might now be prepared to sell the Scotland international.

Norwich had an £8million bid accepted for the 29-year-old in August, only for the move to break down, at Everton boss Roberto Martinez's insistence.

WALSALL

Walsall winger Romaine Sawyers appears to be the player at the Banks's Stadium who is a target for Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic.

The Bhoys have been linked to striker Tom Bradshaw, but sources in Scotland today claim they are preparing a bid for wide man Sawyers instead.

Celtic scouts were in attendance at the Saddlers' 2-0 League One win at home to Port Vale yesterday, where Sawyers completed the 90 minutes.

They would have known Bradshaw was missing with an ankle problem and, with highly-rated left-back Rico Henry also injured, it's clear Sawyers was being watched.

The St Kitts & Nevis international, 24, is out-of-contract next summer and could even arrange a pre-contract agreement to leave for free.
