We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES-WEST BROM

Premier League side Newcastle United could launch an audacious move to land BOTH of Wolves and West Brom's star strikers come January.

The Magpies appear to be seriously interested in Baggies hotshot Saido Berahino, who could fetch around £25million in the transfer window.

But Newcastle may face competition from bigger top-flight guns Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United for the 22-year-old's signature.

Afobe, also 22, was the subject of three bids from Norwich City with Wolves likely to demand, at least, £15m. That won't deter his suitors, though.

ASTON VILLA

Out-of-favour Aston Villa striker Libor Kozak seems to be a target for Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers after they scouted him yesterday.

The gangly Czech Republic forward, 26, hasn't played in the Premier League for Villa this season and has made just appearance, in a Capital One Cup win at home to Notts County.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila was in the Villa Park directors box to personally run the rule over him in a 2-1 victory for the club's Under-21 side over their Derby County counterparts.

WALSALL

Former Walsall midfielder Mark Kinsella could apply for the vacant manager's position at his former club, despite his position at Drogheda United.

The former Charlton, Villa and Republic of Ireland player, who turned out for the Saddlers between 2004 and 2006, has been coaching in the League of Ireland.

But Drogheda's relegation to the First Division One has seen Peter Mahon replace Kinsella in charge, although he has remained on the back-room staff.

The 43-year-old would jump at the chance to return to the Banks's Stadium, where his son Liam has risen through the youth ranks to the first-team.
