We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Norwich City are the club most likely to come in first for Wolves striker Benik Afobe when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Canaries failed with four bids for the 22-year-old in August, the latest a £10million offer, and may return with an improved bid.

Norwich believe the England Under-21 international could keep them in the Premier League and could be prepared to pay £15m.

WEST BROM

West Brom are apparently lining up a double raid on Queens Park Rangers if they lose forward Saido Berahino for big money in January.

Chelsea are the latest club linked to Berahino, who would command £20m, with Tottenham still in the hunt after three failed approaches.

If they can't keep hold of him, the Baggies would use the cash to raid QPR for goal-getter Charlie Austin and winger Matthew Phillips.

Both are languishing in the Championship after the Hoops' relegation last season and would seriously consider a move to the Hawthorns.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa may try to entice striker Joel Campbell away from Arsenal with the chance to spearhead new boss Remi Garde's revolution.

Garde remains on good terms with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, having played under him for the Gunners back in the 1990s.

Campbell is currently in first-team contention due to injuries but, with Wenger linked to a host of players, could become out-of-favour again.

The Costa Rica international, 23, has been shipped out four times on loan before and could leave again, with Villa a possible destination.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
