We have scoured the back pages and the internet to bring you the latest transfer gossip.

We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves could be tempted by a £15million offer to sell striker Benik Afobe to Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

The Magpies are in the Premier League relegation places and are desperate to bring in a forward who can fire them out of trouble.

They believe the 22-year-old could be that man and have the resources to make a serious bid and ward off other potential suitors.

Norwich City are expected to be back with a fourth offer, after £10m was rejected in August, while Aston Villa are also very keen.

WEST BROM

West Brom's star front-man Saido Berahino could get his dream move to one of the big guns in January - but it might not be Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international threatened to go on strike in August unless he could force a move to White Hart Lane, but the Baggies stood firm.

However, speculation is now suggesting Manchester United could come in for the 22-year-old, who would jump at the chance of that move.

United are big spenders and would hand Albion the £25million they would demand up front, while realising Berahino's ambitions in the game.

ASTON VILLA

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes would be willing to take over at Aston Villa if they part company with boss Tim Sherwood.

Moyes is privately unhappy in Spain with fans calling for his head at top-flight outfit Real Sociedad, but he must hang on until a job comes up.

Villa could be the perfect fit for the 52-year-old Scot, who is confident England will mostly have forgotten his disastrous spell in charge of United.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
