We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves could demand as much as £14million for star striker Benik Afobe in the January transfer window, as interest hots up in his services.

The 22-year-old is being courted by Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Norwich City, the latter having a £10m bid rejected back in August.

The Canaries are expected to be back with an improved offer, while Newcastle are desperate to bolster their attack. Villa are also struggling.

WEST BROM

Despite strained relations between the two clubs over the player in the summer, Tottenham Hotspur might well move again for West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

Berahino appeared to threaten to go on strike when plans to take him to White Hart Lane were scuppered, but relented and is now scoring goals again for the Baggies.

The England international's wish to join Spurs may well remain, though, but they will need to make a suitable offer this time. Albion want, at least, £25million with most of the fee up front.

ASTON VILLA

Midfielder Adem Ljajic could well come back onto Aston Villa's radar, with Inter Milan considering whether to end his season-long loan early.

The Serbia attacker was tracked by both Villa and Premier League rivals West Ham, who were quoted £5.9million after borrowing him for a campaign.

The 24-year-old instead decided to stay in Italy and swap Rome for Milan, where Inter boss Roberto Mancini may move him on after just two appearances since his move.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
