We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Premier League club Norwich City have not given up of landing Wolves striker Benik Afobe with a fourth bid in January, it would appear.

The Canaries made three bids for the 22-year-old in August, the last for £10million which would have netted the player £40,000-a-week.

Their scouts again ran the rule over Afobe in the 3-0 win at Fulham on Tuesday night, making it clear they are planning another offer.

And Wolves could also be fronting interest in talented teenager Niall Ennis, with Manchester City and Chelsea joining Manchester United in the race to sign him.

The 16-year-old attacker is highly-rated and earmarked for a bright future at Molineux, but may have his head turned by the big clubs.

Another size-able offer would be needed for the club to sell, but Ennis may also want to move to further his chances in the England youth set-up.

WEST BROM

Representatives from West Brom were visibly watching Liverpool outcast Jose Enrique play for the Reds' Under-21 side this week.

The 29-year-old has been frozen out of the first-team at Anfield and is sitting on the sidelines collecting his £65,000-a-week salary.

The Spanish left-back is out of contract at the end of the season, though, with the Baggies hoping to broker a deal that will bring down his wages.

Albion would offer him a three-year contract, rather than for two season, that would give Enrique better financial security in the long run.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Turkish winger Gokhan Tore, who was assessed playing for Besiktas against Fenerbahce in his homeland.

The German-born wide man, 23, would cost in excess of £5million, but Villa boss Tim Sherwood is keen to add more width to his squad.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium.
