Fordhouses are up

Fordhouses Cricket Club were left feeling bowled over by success after clinching the Heath Town Over-50s League Division Two title.

A 7-1 home victory over Springvale A saw them crowned champions and earn a place in the top flight for net season.

There was cause for further celebration at the progressive club, that run 12 teams in various leagues across the region, when their youngest member Rebecca Corbett won the Bilston League top eight ladies competition.

Codsall Ex Service claimed the Division One crown with a 6-2 victory at Yale Social.

Led by a 21-10 victory for former county president Clive Pittaway they edged the game by 11 shots to secure the title from Willenhall Nordley A.
