We have scoured the back pages and the internet to bring you the latest transfer gossip.

We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Kenny Jackett is ready to delve into the loan market in a big way as he looks to add strength and depth to his squad following the losses of Richard Stearman to Fulham and Nouha Dicko through injury.

Manchester United's James Wilson would top of the shopping list should Louis van Gaal decide not to send him to a rival Premier League club.

WEST BROM

Albion are hoping to offer Saido Berahino a new contract with the club with a £25 million release clause ahead of the January transfer window.

The England Under-21 international is known to be unsettled at the Hawthorns at the moment, notably tweeting on transfer deadline day that he would not play for the club again under current chairman Jeremy Peace.

Still, the Baggies hope they can persuade him to sign a new deal if it includes a release clause, which could invite interest from his various suitors when the transfer window opens for business again in the winter.

ASTON VILLA

Nathan Baker and Joe Bennett are not finished as Aston Villa players despite moving on loan this summer.

Bristol City secured the services of Baker, 24, on a season-long deal while Bennett, 25, moved to Bournemouth until January as the Cherries come to terms with their left-back crisis.

WALSALL

All quiet today at the Banks's Stadium.
