We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

West Brom are closing in on former Wolves attacking midfielder Bakary Sako.

Sako is out of contract after leaving Molineux at the end of last season and has undergone a medical at the Baggies' training ground.

WEST BROM

West Brom are being linked with a move for Hull City winger Ahmed Elmohamady.

Former Sunderland winger Elmohamady, 27, has one year left on his contract at Hull and could leave for £3 million.

Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion are more than £10million apart in their valuations of striker Saido Berahino.

Spurs have held discussions about making a £10m opening bid for Berahino, but West Brom value their star man at closer to £25m.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa have agreed on a fee for midfielder Jordan Veretout.

Tim Sherwood is currently said to be focusing on reinforcing his midfield area and now according to reports, the Villa manager is on the verge of securing the services of the French midfielder.

Sources say Villa have agreed a fee with Nantes of around 7.1 million and the midfielder is now set to hold talks with the Premier League side over personal terms.

WALSALL

Walsall boss Dean Smith has confirmed he tried to sign Aston Villa striker Callum Robinson last season before the player opted to move to Preston.

He also confirmed that he would be interested again this season, but any move will depend on the performances of his current strike force.
