We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Brighton's Jake Forster-Caskey has emerged as a potential target for Wolves.

The midfielder was the standout player for the Seagulls last season and a regular starter for Gareth Southgate's England Under-21's.

Very much at ease on the ball, Caskey is well-known for his ferocious left-foot.

Kenny Jackett is happy to loan at least one of his rookie stoppers now Wolves are no longer on a goalkeeping "alert".

Wolves had looked a little thin on the goalkeeping ground when Aaron McCarey's drugs probe was ongoing and following the departure of Tomasz Kuszczak.

But with McCarey now eligible, young keepers Jon Flatt and Harry Burgoyne could be loaned out to assist their development.

WEST BROM

Crystal Palace, Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and Cardiff City have all missed out on Ivorian forward Jonathan Kodjia, who yesterday completed his move to Bristol City.

Leicester City and Cardiff City had both be chasing the forward, whilst West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace had both had bids rejected, according to reports. However, it is recently promoted Bristol City who have snared the 25-year old.

Norwich have joined the race for Liverpool's Rickie Lambert as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.

Lambert, 33, can leave his boyhood club after just one season and Norwich boss Alex Neil is keen to secure the forwards signature.

West Brom have a long-held interest in Lambert and manager Tony Pulis is expected to formally launch a £3million bid later this week.

But Norwich are now hoping to see off competition for the former England striker, who missed Liverpool's tour win over Adelaide United yesterday due to a minor injury.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa are pursuing yet another Nice player in midfielder Nampalys Mendy - days after signing Jordan Amavi.

Villa snapped up 21-year-old left-back Amavi from Nice over the weekend and reports suggest manager Tim Sherwood could also swoop for his former Nice team-mate Alassane Plea.
