Transfer Rumours – July 6
Expressandstar.com bring you all of the latest transfer talk from Wolves, West Brom, Aston Villa and Walsall.
We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.
WOLVES
Wolves have reportedly made a bid to sign Adam Le Fondre from Cardiff City.
The striker's wages have already put off Bolton, Ipswich and Huddersfield, but Wolves could be a realistic destination for the 28-year-old.
Speculation suggests that Fulham are going to make Wolverhampton Wanderers another offer for their midfielder Kevin McDonald.
It seems that their first offer, said to be in the region of £1 million, was dismissed by the Molineux hierarchy.
WEST BROM
West Bromwich Albion are determined to sign Matt Phillips from Queens Park Rangers this summer.
Albion recently had a bid of £5 million rejected by QPR, who want £10m to part ways with the winger.
Should they fail with an improved offer, Nice forward Alassane Plea will become the top target.
Tony Pulis has sent scouts to watch a number of French-based targets and 22-year-old Plea has caught the eye.
ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa are pursuing Anderlecht and Belgium midfielder Dennis Praet.
The prodigious youngster came on leaps and bounds last season for Anderlecht and started to live up to the hype he built up as a teenager. He is now expected to leave and net the club a tidy sum, somewhere in the region of £10 million.
WALSALL
All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
