We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves have entered the race to sign Newcastle's Sammy Ameobi.

They will compete with West Brom, Everton and Cardiff City for the forward's signature.

Leeds are set to beat Wolves and sign Leicester City's Chris Wood after both clubs agreed a fee for the Kiwi.

WEST BROM

Reading are interested in signing West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Boaz Myhill.

But Royals' attempts to land the 32-year-old stopper are being hampered by an injury to Baggies' No.1 Ben Foster.

The England international suffered a knee injury in March and is expected to miss the start of the new Premier League season.

So West Brom are reluctant to let Myhill leave the Hawthorns, unless they can sign a replacement in first.

Middlesbrough have rejected a £4 million bid from West Brom for defender George Friend.

The fan favourite still has three years to run on his current contract.

ASTON VILLA

Tim Sherwood will be offered a reunion with Emmanuel Adebayor in exchange for Christian Benteke and cash.

However Liverpool still look in prime position with Ricky Lambert and Fabio Borini heading in the other direction.

WALSALL

James Chambers looks set to leave Walsall as Adam Chambers signs a new deal.
