West Midlands trio miss out on Wales squad

West Brom, Wolves and Walsall's international hopefuls have missed out on the Wales' squad for their crunch Euro 2016 qualifier with Belgium.

Tyler Roberts, Dave Edwards and Tom Bradshaw all missed the cut for Chris Coleman's side.

Sixteen-year-old Roberts, who featured on boss Tony Pulis' bench for their end-of-season defeat at Arsenal, was hoping for a shot at becoming the youngest ever Welsh international.

The Gloucester-born forward, who captained Wales to under-16 glory in the Victory Shield last season, could have overtaken Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson, who featured as an 87th minute substitute against Belgium in October 2013.

He is one of four allowed to join the camp and train with the squad.

Molineux star Edwards, 29, has 27 caps to his name for the Dragons dating back to 2007 but missed out on the latest call-up, despite featuring heavily for Wolves last season.

Walsall hots-hot Bradshaw is another who has failed to be included, despite helping shoot the Saddlers to their first-ever Wembley appearance.

He netted 17 league goals as Dean Smith's side finished 14th in League One and has eight caps for the Welsh under-21 side, but is yet to feature for the first team.
