We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves may attempt a double raid on Championship rivals Cardiff City, with an offer to take Peter Whittingham back to the Midlands.

Bluebirds striker Joe Mason has already been linked with a £3million move to Molineux, but Whittingham could also emerge as a target.

The Nuneaton-born midfielder has spent eight years with Cardiff but, at age 30, may fancy moving back to his roots after their poor season.

His club will fight to keep both him and Mason, though, so Wolves will have to splash the cash if they are to tempt the club into selling.

WEST BROM

West Brom could go back in for Spartak Moscow striker Yura Movsisyan this summer, after he was linked to a £7million move in January.

The Armenia international wants out of Russia but will have to be talked out of a move to Major League Soccer, where he started his career.

The 27-year-old striker has scored 24 goals in 55 games for Spartak and is known to the Baggies, so a switch to the Hawthorns is possible.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa will turn to Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin if Christian Benteke leaves the club in a big-money £35million move.

It's thought £15million would be enough to prise Austin, who has scored 17 goals this season and is on the verge of an England call-up, away.

The relegated Hoops expect the 25-year-old to leave Loftus Road and, if Benteke departs, Villa would have money to burn for a replacement.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
