We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves are likely to throw their hat in the ring as one of seven clubs interested in Real Madrid's fledgling centre-back Derik Osede.

The 22-year-old, who has represented Spain at Under-21 level, hasn't played for Real's first-team but is a regular for their 'Castilla' second-string, coached by Zinedine Zidane.

He's out-of-contract at the end of the season and is a wanted man in England, with teams from the Premier League and Championship linked.

Top-flight sides Southampton, Watford and Leicester have all been linked, while Championship title-winners Watford are also in the hunt.

Wolves and their league rivals Nottingham Forest and Bolton are also keeping tabs, while relegated Premier outfit Burnley have been linked.

Meanwhile, Wolves may turn to another free agent goalkeeper Colin Doyle if Tomasz Kuszczak decides to leave Molineux this summer.

Head coach Kenny Jackett wants competition for first-choice Ikeme, with Kuszczak his preferred option but the Polish shot-stopper will soon be without terms.

Doyle, 29, will call time on 14 years with Birmingham City with his release from St Andrew's at the end of next month and is looking for a new club.

WEST BROM

West Brom could look to take defender James Chester from Hull City, if the Tigers lose their battle against relegation from the Premier League.

The 26-year-old Manchester United graduate would cover a number of bases for the Baggies, as he's able to operate at right-back and in the centre.

Hull would be willing to sell if they go down, but will want a significant transfer fee. A bid of, at least, £3million should snare his services.

ASTON VILLA

Rumours have surfaced that Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke's agent will meet with Roma officials in the next few days, to talk about getting his client a move to Italy.

Villa will fight to keep hold of the Belgium international, though, and Roma are of a host of teams who would be interested in the player.

Meanwhile, soon-to-be Premier League new-boys Watford want Villa left-back Joe Bennett, who is unsure on his claret and blues future.

The 25-year-old has just spent the season at Championship strugglers Brighton, who want to keep him but appear to be losing the battle.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
