We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

Wolves are apparently one of two Championship clubs tracking Mansfield Town teenager Jack Thomas, alongside Sheffield Wednesday.

The 18-year-old has impressed in just 11 appearances for the League Two Stags, who admit that some of their starlets will be wanted.

Manager Adam Murray said: "There's certain individuals that have caught the eye of people. We had some interest at the start of the week from a couple of Championship clubs."

WEST BROM

West Brom and Queens Park Rangers will resume their chase for Dieumerci Mbokani in the summer, with the striker looking for a move.

The Congo international, 29, is out-of-favour Ukranian giants Dynamo Kiev and appears to have seriously fallen out with boss Sergey Rebrov.

That has put the Baggies - who have a long-standing interest - and QPR on alert, with Albion already in possession of his former Kiev strike partner Brown Ideye.

Meanwhile, West Brom are believed to be looking at young goalkeeper Axel Kacou, who is on the fringes of the full Ivory Coast squad.

The 19-year-old holds a French passport, too, so would have no work permit problems if he decided he wanted to move to the Premier League.

Albion may approach French club Saint-Etienne about a move, with Ben Foster out injured and Boaz Myhill's Hawthorns future up in the air.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa may make a shock loan move for Real Madrid striker Jese Rodriguez, who has slipped down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.

The 22-year-old is highly-rated in the Spanish capital, but suffered a serious knee injury in March 2014 which kept him out for most of the year.

He now has Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Javier Hernandez and Gareth Bale for competition up front, so may be allowed out on loan.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
