Bridgnorth RFC book final at Twickenham

Bridgnorth have secured another trip to Twickenham after defeating Scarborough 10-6 in a nail biting National knockout semi-final at Silver Royd.

Currently leading the Midlands 2 North division, many thought the game would be a mere formality with the team averaging more than 40 points per game.

But fans and players alike were made to sweat until the final seconds despite the visitors taking an early 7-0 lead, thanks to an Adam Stirling try.

They soon made it 10-0, but Scarborough battled back in the second-half with two penalties of their own to create a grandstand finish in front of their home crowd.

But the visitors hung on for a memorable win and another chance to play at the home of rugby - Twickenham.
