Players including captain Adam Chambers, his brother James, and winger James Baxendale attended the fitting.

The team will greet fans at the national home of football on March 22 suited and booted in a slate grey slim leg trouser with single breasted jacket and white shirt.

The entire team and some staff will be dressed by the former Shire Oak School pupil who has carved a career with his Luke 1977 brand that is popular with celebrities in the sport and entertainment world.

Luke says: "It's a special feeling for me to be working with the club in this way. I'm a local lad born at the Manor Hospital, I grew up the town and it's a real privilege to see the club doing well and to be able to give something back to the place where I grew up."

"It's an honour to dress the lads. Walsall Market was the place of my first job, back in 1989, ironically selling fashion fabrics of all things, it's great to give something back to the town and it's bringing back a few fond memories for me."

He adds that he will be at the London stadium for the match against Bristol City with his wife Tracey and eldest son Rui, aged five.

James Chambers said: "The outfit is very nice. All the lads are thrilled with the slim leg style. It's trendy and very well tailored and we're looking forward to arriving at Wembley wearing it. We'll be looking really sharp."
