We are not saying they are true – just that they are out there.

WOLVES

After admitting he may yet turn to the loan market to bolster his squad before the end of the season, Wolves boss Kenny Jackett is keeping tabs on his targets.

Jackett has cast eyes at the youngsters at Premier League giants Manchester United more than once, Jesse Lingard moving to Championship rivals Derby County rather than Molineux.

The focus could now turn to United teenager James Wilson, 19, with the Red Devils considering farming the Staffordshire-born striker out. Team-mate Nick Powell, 22, is also available.

WEST BROM

West Brom may revisit the 'ones that got away' in the summer and offer Martin Olsson and Carlton Cole a second chance to come to the Hawthorns.

Both transfers collapsed at the last minute on deadline day, although Graham Dorrans did join Norwich City on loan in what was supposed to be a part-exchange deal for Olsson.

The Canaries are hoping to get Dorrans permanently for £2million in the summer, but Albion may yet ask for Olsson again with Chris Brunt operating as a makeshift left-back.

Cole is out-of-contract at West Ham at the end of the season, although his non-arrival has sparked Baggies club-record signing Brown Ideye into form. However, boss Tony Pulis does need cover.

ASTON VILLA

New Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood may return to his former club Tottenham Hotspur to get Alex Pritchard on loan for next season.

The 21-year-old has impressed on loan at Championship side Brentford, where he's due to remain until the end of the current campaign.

Sherwood gave Pritchard his debut at White Hart Lane and wants him as part of his revamp of Villa - regardless of whether they are in the Premier League come 2015-16.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
