Kenny Jackett is resigned to a quiet Transfer Deadline Day

Frustrated Kenny Jackett was today predicting a quiet end to the transfer window for Wolves as he hit out at his "complacent" players.

With the time ticking down to tonight's 11pm deadline, the Molineux head coach is resigned to missing out on the one mystery signing he had planned.

Chief executive Jez Moxey is understood to have left Saturday's game at Bolton early due to ongoing transfer business, but Jackett isn't expecting anyone in or out today.

And that leaves Wolves looking like they will fail to add anyone to their squad beyond winter additions Benik Afobe and Jordan Graham, and keep Bakary Sako before the loan window opens in a week's time.

"I think things will be very quiet, and if anything happens it will be if the phone rings and things may change," said Jackett.

"But it looks very doubtful that anything will happen either in or out."

QPR boss Harry Redknapp said before the weekend they had enquired about taking Sako on loan.

But Jackett is determined to keep the 26-year-old this window, despite interest from Albion and Villa.

Bakary Sako

"I don't think anyone will come for Sako," said the boss.

"When I spoke to him on Saturday morning he was still in Mali so there's a bit to do for someone to get him!"

Meanwhile, Jackett criticised his side for their performance at Bolton.

Substitute James Henry's 25-yard wonder strike salvaged a 2-2 draw at the death after Zach Clough's first-half double cancelled out Nouha Dicko's third-minute opener.

"In the first half Bolton out-competed us and we didn't do enough," said the boss.

"I thought we were complacent and poor and Bolton deservedly got a couple of goals."

But he claimed Henry's memorable equaliser was world class.

"His strike was absolutely first class and no goalkeeper would have saved that – it was a great goal," he said.
