WOLVES

Wolves have played down suggestions they want Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish on loan, with Championship rivals Nottingham Forest waiting in the wings to land the 19-year-old.

And Middlesbrough could be prepared to take on unwanted Wolves striker Kevin Doyle, with his wage demands too high for Ipswich Town.

WEST BROM

West Brom could make a shock move for former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien, who has fallen out-of-favour at Italian giants AC Milan.

The 32-year-old's agent has stated that it's unlikely that the Ghana international will stay, with clubs in Major League Soccer and the United Arab Emirates also interested.

ASTON VILLA

Aston Villa's search for signings in this transfer window has seen then rule the run over Thomas Toure. The French striker figured for Bordeaux as they lost 2-1 to Nice.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's Stadium today.
