The move means the versatile 30-year-old rejoins Stale Solbakken, who managed him at Wolves.

Foley, whose deal was due to expire in the summer, is leaving after seven-a-half years at Molineux and over 200 first-team appearances.

"We thank Kevin for his excellent service to Wolves over many years," said head coach Kenny Jackett.

"On behalf of everyone at Wolves I would like to wish him all the very best in his future career."

Solbakken said: "Kevin Foley is a rock solid and experienced defender with experience in the Premier League, the Championship and the Irish national team.

"He will increase competition at the back and take the pressure off Christoffer Remmer, who is on his way back from a long injury and Ludwig Augustinsson, who is brand new in the team.

"They will both have to spend a little time before they reach the top level.

"Now we are heavily covered with Kevin, who is 100 per cent reliable."

Foley, who made 213 appearances for Wolves and scored six goals, was signed from Luton in August 2007 for £700,000 by former boss Mick McCarthy and was Player of the Year as Wolves won the Championship title in 2008-09.
