Dicko scored his third Championship goal of the season in Tuesday's 2-0 win against Middlesbrough, finally gained his reward for plenty of effort and commitment in recent games .

"I kept believing I could score, it's a fantastic feeling to score and I'm pleased I got one against Middlesbrough," said Dicko. "I feel confident and feel I've been playing well this season.

"Maybe I'd have liked to have scored more but I think I've done well for the team."

Wolves' return to winning ways put them fourth in the table as they prepare to travel to Leeds on Saturday but Dicko feels they should have more points after their first victory in five attempts.

"We all think we could be higher and we should believe that because playing with confidence will help us this season," he said.

"Hopefully we can go to Leeds on Saturday and get an away win, which we haven't had for a while. But we haven't lost many either."

After Tuesday's welcome clean sheet, Dicko believes Wolves are back on track after defensive lapses saw them leak 11 goals in the previous four games. "Hopefully we can keep up with these sorts of performances and keep clean sheets," he said.

"It was a case of making sure we looked at the things we'd done well but also the things we hadn't done so well."

And he revealed his mate Bakary Sako had been thinking of trying his dinked penalty for a while following his cheeky effort for the first goal against Boro.

"Bakary was thinking about that penalty at Fulham!" said Dicko. "He didn't do it but then said he might do it next time.

"He's a talented guy and it's great to see that sort of thing on a football pitch.

"I have a good link with Bakary. If us two doing well helps the team that's the main thing."
