Sako's injury blow after Wolves hit back

Wolves match-winner Bakary Sako has emerged as a doubt for Saturday's trip to Leeds and Nouha Dicko has also picked up a knock to dampen last night's return to winning ways.

Sako limped off with a groin injury while Dicko picked up a dead leg after both scored in last night's 2-0 win against Middlesbrough that moved Wolves back up to fourth in the Championship.

"Sako came off with a groin injury," said head coach Kenny Jackett. He has a chance of playing on Saturday but at the moment, it's 50-50. Dicko has a dead leg but I don't think it will be a problem for the weekend."

Jackett was delighted with Wolves' first win in five and first clean sheet in six but was again critical of their 'game management' after his side allowed Boro a spell of heavy pressure just before half-time.

"We need to develop some consistency in our game whether we're 1-0 up or 1-0 down," said Jackett.

"Probably our worst spell in the game came when we were 1-0 up and I felt we were nervous on the ball and dropped off defensively. It's maybe nerves and in that period Middlesbrough had some chances.

"The rest of the game we controlled and we produced a good performance in the second half.

"We passed the ball and created a number of chances."

Jackett also saluted Sako, who has now scored seven goals this season and four in his last four, and Dicko.

"If we give them the service, they can be as good as us and they are a handful for any team in this division," he said.

On Dicko, he said: "It looks like he needs to play (all the time). Sometimes when we don't play for a couple of weeks, he doesn't always play great."
