The BBC Sport Price of Football study of how much it costs to watch football, including tickets, programme and pies, shows Midlands clubs are endeavouring to give their fans value for money.

Albion are among the best in the Premier League in terms of the price of their season tickets and ticket prices after keeping their costs unchanged from 2013-14.

Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace said: "The results confirm the club's determination to provide the best possible value for money for our supporters at a time when we remain only too aware of the challenging economic conditions.

"We have heard the argument advanced that we should raise prices and be prepared to lose fans in the calculated knowledge that revenues would still most likely increase.

"But we are trying to grow our supporter base and not shrink it. This is a 'slow-burn' process and we continue to review an increase in stadium capacity as we seek to improve revenues in the long term."

While Arsenal supporters splash out £1,014 to £2,013 for a season ticket, Baggies fans have to pay £349 to £449 for the cheapest to most expensive. The average across England's top flight is £508.55 to £870.70.

A match-day ticket at The Hawthorns costs £25 to £39, the same as last term, while £39 for the most expensive is the cheapest among the Premier League clubs. For comparison, a top ticket at Arsenal is £97.

Villa season tickets have gone up by £10 or £20 (£335 and £615), but the cheapest match-day ticket is £1 less.

Blues are among the Championship clubs with the cheapest season tickets, but also have some of the dearest, and Wolves fans are getting more value for money compared to other Championship clubs.

The survey says the cheapest season ticket for Wolves is £320, £10 more than last year but 11th cheapest in the league.

In terms of match-day tickets, Wolves' prices are £23 to £29, a rise of £3 and £4 respectively. But the most expensive ticket at £29 is the third cheapest in the Championships.
