WOLVES

Wolves are likely to give up on signing Leicester City striker Chris Wood on loan after Foxes manager Nigel Pearson dismissed their chances of a deal.

WEST BROM

West Brom could allow a number of their young guns to be farmed out to gain first-team experience, with the squad now almost back up to speed after a number of injuries.

Defender Donervon Daniels has already been allowed to join Championship club Blackpool until January, while Bradley Garmston enjoyed a temporary spell at Colchester United last season.

ASTON VILLA

It's emerged that Manchester United new-boy Daley Blind, their final permanent arrival of the summer, could have well been playing for Aston Villa by now.

Ajax had considered selling the Dutch international to the claret and blues some time ago, where he would have been paired with international team-mate Ron Vlaar at the back.

Director of football and former Arsenal winger Marc Overmars said: "One and a half years ago, Daley was still being jeered.

"We were also hesitating over whether we should perhaps sell him to Aston Villa for a nice sum or look during the summer break at how he would develop, knowing that his contract which expire."

WALSALL

Walsall will wait on Sheffield United in the hope they will allow defender Andy Butler to stay at the Banks's Stadium beyond his initial one-month loan.
