No moves on Molineux agenda

Kenny Jackett today insisted there are no imminent plans to bolster his squad.

Speculation has again increased that Leicester striker Chris Wood is on his way to Molineux after the emergency loan window opened this week.

But it looks like Wolves will wait until the end of the month to make their move so they can maximise the 93 days' allowance to the end of 2014, as they did with James Henry last season.

"We haven't got anybody we're right in for at the moment," said the head coach.

"Do we think anybody is coming in for the weekend? No, not necessarily.

"We're always looking to improve but we're not signing anyone imminently at the moment."

After missing out on Wood in the summer on a permanent move and £3m Andy Delort to Wigan recently, Jackett admits it has become more difficult to find the right player.

"It has to be somebody we want to work with and think can improve us and as the standards go higher that becomes more difficult," he said,

"If there's a player there we think comes into that category, and we can say 'we'll have a look at him for a few months and he can look at us', then turn it into a permanent later, then that's an option."
