Wolves release new season away kit

Wolves this afternoon took the wraps off their new away kit – and it’s one that will delight the traditionalists.

The club have opted to return to Wolves’ long-term change kit of white shirts, white shorts and white socks, with a black, button-down collar and black trim, through manufacturers Puma.

Wolves have moved back to their traditional away colours after the purple worn last season.

In recent seasons Wolves’ away kit has been all black, white with red trim and teal.

This is the first time it’s reverted to all white with black trim since the 2009-10 season and has come after requests from many fans.

As with the new home strip, the club has ordered less away kit so supporters are being encouraged to move quickly to avoid disappointment.

The shirts are available to order online now and they will be in the megastores at Molineux and Dudley Street from 9am tomorrow.

Wolves fans got their hands on the new shirt and gave their thoughts on the new strip.

Adult shirts are priced from £42 and junior shirts are from £30.

This week’s megastore opening hours are: Molineux; Wednesday 9am-8pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 10am-4pm.

Dudley Street: Wednesday, 9am-6pm, Thursday and Friday, 9am-6pm, Saturday, 9am-5pm, and Sunday 10am-4pm.

The Flying Winger

Great, thank goodness we have dumped that awful colour of last season!!!!

At last a good away strip. Forget all the stupid colours white with varying black and gold is the way to go. Now get the home shirt right last seasons was shocking! The new one's not bad, but please we play in solid Gold shirts (Old Gold if possible)

Gold with Black trim please!

Huzzah! I'll buy it.

The wife had a right moan when I got her to cut off the black sleeves of my new home kit and replace them with the correctly coloured ones, ie gold.

I make it there are only two places where we'll HAVE to use the change strip this season - Watford and Blackpool.

MUST we change for no good reason?

We are Wolves and we are Gold.

The away kit will be worn on more occasions than just at Blackpool and Watford, as the club have an obligation to the manufacturers to generate income from sales. They wore the away kit on several occasions last season, and some unnecessary with the most disappointing one at MK Dons. Over 10000 fans there in a sea of gold and black to see the team win in that stupid purple kit!

Stourbridge Wolf

Sorry, i forget to mention that the only place that they definitely wont be wearing the away kit is at Leeds, assuming that they don't go out of business before we play them!

Old Gold Heart

Looks good and a welcome return to tradition.

Looks great... Order on its way..

Only wish the home shirt was the same design..

Captain Mardon International

That would be silly though making the same top twice. Why don't you buy 2 and wear them home and away. You will stand out!

There's a difference between design and colour CMI...

I see you are loving your new Spurs home shirt!! Gorra loff!!

Was that a news article or what's known in America as an "infomercial"? UTW

At last back to a traditional Kit.

Hope this only refers to the ability to remove stains from the kit and not our performances but WhatHouse is an anagram of Washout. Eh?

Isn't white one of the two main colours of a certain rival? Only needs a bit of navy and this kit will be more of an Albion kit than the predicted new Albion kit. I doubt you will ever see the Albion using gold. Better kit than the purple one.

Good luck next season it will be good to see the old gold back in the top flite, one of the original twelve. 126 years of league football and counting.

Boing Boing.

Just a pity they couldn't drop the price it's ridiculous having to pay £42 for an adult top and £30 for a kids, wonder how much the full kit costs ? For those of us who are not in work that's a

Bought mine this morning. Also going to be in the Express and Star later, and in a video on this site.

Show off !! :o)

Well it certainly is a vast improvement on last seasons awful away strip. In years to come, it might crop up in a pub trivia quiz; name the year of the when the Wolves team played in delicate lilac? Only a few will actually get it right.

Sorry I do not agree with the term "away kit" - I am a traditionalist.

Gold & Black should be worn at all away games unless there is a clash of colours which this season will be at Blackpool, Norwich and Watford.

Captain Mardon International

Do you allow your wife outdoors?

I'm surprised you are let out!! Or are you??
