Liam Ridgewell hails West Brom's team strength

Liam Ridgewell today insisted this month's dressing room bust-up has strengthened Albion's resolve to beat the Premier League drop.

Albion were held 3-3 for the second successive home game as they again conceded in stoppage time, this time after leading Tottenham 3-0.

But there was no repeat of the ruck involving James Morrison and Saido Berahino which was sparked by drawing with the Bluebirds two weeks ago.

Asked if the Baggies' players had rallied since the row, full-back Ridgewell said: "Yeah, definitely. Everyone had a comment to make and everyone had something to say about us. We were keen to shut people up.

"We know what we have to do inside the dressing room. We have to make sure we get the points to stay up. The only way to shut people up is to make sure we survive."

And Ridgewell today urged Albion to avoid an agonising last-day survival showdown after their latest Hawthorns heartbreak left them looking nervously at the bottom three.

The defender, relegated along with keeper Ben Foster with Birmingham in 2011, is keen to avoid taking the survival fight into the last game of the season against Stoke at The Hawthorns.

"We don't want it to come down to that and go into the final day," he said.

"We want to get it done and dusted. The best way would be to win at Man City (on Easter Monday), get the three points and stay up that way, so hopefully we can do that.

"Ben and myself will try to grab a few and tell them what it's like but I'm sure everyone has been involved one way or the other before.

"Everyone will know how horrible it is but I don't think it will come to that because I think we've got enough to get the points we need.

"It's not nice to be relegated. You go into the summer thinking about it and worrying about what's going to happen next but it was a different scenario at Birmingham when we went down.

"It affects more people than just us so we've got to make sure we stay up."
