Wolves clinched a 1-0 away win at MK Dons as almost 9,000 fans cheered them to victory. Academy graduate Liam McAlinden netted the winner on a memorable day for Kenny Jackett's side as title rivals Brentford and Leyton Orient both lost ground on the league leaders.

Walsall earned another win to keep their play-off hopes alive but striker Craig Westcarr saw red for the home side. Westcarr has scored three goals in two games after a brace against Bradford saw Walsall end their 10-game unbeaten run.

In the Premier League round up, our reporters analyse Albion's 3-3 draw against Cardiff plus Villa's defeat that eased the pressure on Manchester United boss David Moyes.

A late flurry of action at The Hawthorns kept fans on the edge of their seats as Albion took the lead in the 93rd minute only for Cardiff to grab an equaliser in the dying moments of injury time.

Paul Lambert felt Aston Villa's 4-1 loss at Manchester United did not reflect the effort his side made and felt the game should have been closer.
