We are not saying they are true – just that they're out there.

ALBION

West Brom have called a halt to their negotiations with Pepe Mel in the search for a new boss - a move that could bring his fellow Spaniard Jose Luis Mendilibar and the newly-sacked Malky Mackay into the frame.

Meanwhile, Lee Camp is in talks with Bournemouth about a permanent move to the club when his Albion contract - and current loan deal with the Cherries - expires next week.

WOLVES

Winger Michael Jacobs has said that he would welcome an extension to his loan at Molineux, with his current deal set to expire before Friday's game against Gillingham.

VILLA

Villa striker Christian Benteke is said to be a target for Spanish side Atletico Madrid, who could be in the market for a replacement if star Diego Costa seals a Premier League move.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert retains club owner Randy Lerner's full support and will be given money to spend in January, despite the increasing pressure on him.
