We are not saying they are true – just that they're out there.

ALBION

Albion have completed the signing of France international wideman Morgan Amalfitano from Marseille on loan with an option to buy next summer.

And they were today attempting a beat-the-deadline swoop for Sunderland's Stephane Sessegnon.

Hawthorns sources have played down links with Tottenham's Jermain Defoe while reports from Holland claim PSV winger Georginio Wijnaldum has rejected Albion and Cardiff, who asked about a loan deal.

And Albion are also said to have had a £3.5million bid rejected for Everton striker Victor Anichebe.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have become the latest club to join the race for Chelsea's out-of-favour striker Demba Ba, who has also been linked with a move to Albion.

And Albion defender Gabriel Tamas has become a target for Crystal Palace, after being told by boss Steve Clarke that he can leave the club.

WOLVES

Wolves were today bracing themselves for fresh bids for Bakary Sako as FC Copenhagen became the latest club linked with the winger.

And Nottingham Forest are likely to test Wolves' resolve with a further bid, after having a £2.5m offer rejected over the weekend.

And Leicester City are said to have made a bid for Wolves striker Kevin Doyle, which could see forward Martyn Waghorn moving to Molineux as part of the deal.

ASTON VILLA

Villa are said to be in talks with Lazio striker Libor Kozak, who was top scorer in last season's Europa League.

Barry Bannan is scheduled to have a medical with Crystal Palace this morning, as he looks for a deadline-day move to the Premier League new-boys.
